Patanjali group is planning to set up a food processing plant in Lakkampally village in Nandipet mandal in Nizamabad district of Telangana. The company has signed an MoU with the state government. It may be noted, Nizamabad has rich turmeric fields and other spices are also largely grown here. It may be mentioned here that earlier this year Patanjali group had also signed an MoU with the Andhra Pradesh government to set up a ayurvedic medicines unit at Kothavalasa in Vizianagaram with an investment of Rs 800 cr.
