Granules India Ltd is planning to expand its pharma unit in Bonthapally in Gummadidala Mandal in Sangareddy district of Telangana. The project involves expanding manufacturing facilities to increase production capacity from 1.930 tpm to 24.0 tpm. Land required for the project is around 1.527 acres which is already available.
The new capacity will produce 2,4-Dichloro pyrimidine, p-Toluene Sulfonyl urea / N-carbamoyl-4-methylbenzenesulfonamide besides other fine chemicals. The project cost is estimated at ₹ 40.0 million. As of January 2019, the project is in planning stage.
